TERMS & POLICIES


INTRODUCTION 

All transportation operated by JOHNSON’S LUXURY TRANSPORTATION SERVICE (Bahamas) is subject to the following Terms of Service (“Terms”). By agreeing to these Terms, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the conditions of use listed below, and any future revisions and additions, as published at: a1transbahamas.com/terms. 

By agreeing to these terms of service, you also confirm that you understand how our service works. 

Passengers (“Clients”) requesting service must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into this contract under the laws of The Commonwealth of the Bahamas. All minors requesting and receiving service must be accompanied by an adult.

RESERVATIONS

The Client hereby verifies that the pickup/departure date, time, number of passengers, and billing information are correctly stated. JOHNSON’S LUXURY TRANSPORTATION SERVICE is not responsible for customer errors resulting in unused reservations or missed flights. Most major airlines require a minimum of three (3) hours for check-in, TSA screening, and US Customs clearance. All bookings must be made to accommodate the aforementioned. 

PAYMENTS

Clients must pay at the time of booking to secure advance reservations. Any charges processed at the time of booking are refundable following the terms outlined in the Cancellation Policy below. 

Client hereby authorizes JOHNSON’S LUXURY TRANSPORTATION SERVICE to charge the full total of the booking once entered online, to the credit card entered.

RECEIPTS

Reservations made via our website will receive an email confirmation with complete reservation and payment details. For reservations made at the airport, it is the customer’s responsibility to ask for a receipt as proof of payment for the vehicle. JOHNSON’S LUXURY TRANSPORTATION SERVICE cannot guarantee the generation of receipts after the fact. 

CLIENT IDENTIFICATION

Clients must make themselves known to the JOHNSON’S LUXURY TRANSPORTATION SERVICE staff or driver that arrives at the pick-up destination. Identification will be sought via a physical or electronic sign with the Client’s name, through the concierge desk, via the hostess desk, or by phone.  JOHNSON’S LUXURY TRANSPORTATION SERVICE drivers and staff reserve the right to request personal identification from Clients before proceeding with the service. Failure to provide personal identification matching information on file may result in the inability of JOHNSON’S LUXURY TRANSPORTATION SERVICE to service the reservation. 

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations must be submitted a minimum of 48 hours in advance or more to qualify for a refund. Refunds will be issued for 50% of the order total only. Any cancellations to reservations made less than 48 hours will not be refunded.

RESERVATION EDITS/CHANGES

Minor changes to the bookings are accepted upon availability and REQUIRE A MINIMUM OF 48-HOURS NOTICE. CHANGE REQUESTS MUST BE emailed to ride@a1transbahamas.com. Any changes in arrival or destination locations may result in additional charges (travel charges). The Client understands any changes to the booking, once processed, do not guarantee service for the new booking time and in some instances can constitute a cancellation. Changes to the reservation made 48 hours prior to the scheduled arrival time will be changed with no additional fees. If the vehicle booked has a scheduled appointment for the new time, then another vehicle with the capacity of the previously booked vehicle will be used for the new reservation. Any flight delays or flight changes are not the responsibility of JOHNSON’S LUXURY TRANSPORTATION SERVICE. If a flight change or delay occurs, notify our customer service as soon as possible. JOHNSON’S LUXURY TRANSPORTATION SERVICE cannot guarantee that the new time would be accommodated on short notice. 

RESERVATION ABANDONMENT

If a Client does not make contact with the office to make the driver aware of any changes or delays, this is considered reservation abandonment and is subject to a 50% refund upon contact. If not contact is made within, 48 hours of the abandoned reservation, no refund will be given.

TRANSFERS/WAIT TIME

Clients booking a waypoint stop have a maximum wait time of 30 minutes for grocery/liquor store stops. Times that exceed the 30-minute allotted time are subject to additional charges. Charges will be billed based on 30-minute intervals. There is only a 15-minute grace period given for departures and point-to-point service. Airport arrivals have a 30-minute grace period before additional charges start to accrue. JOHNSON’S LUXURY TRANSPORTATION SERVICE will add the cost of overtime or standby service when a Client’s pickup, waypoint stop, or complimentary stop exceeds the allotted time if applicable.

REFUNDS

The Client understands that JOHNSON’S LUXURY TRANSPORTATION SERVICE does not give refunds for reservations made with less than 48 hours advance notice.  Refunds that qualify will be processed within 24 hours, excluding weekends and national/federal holidays. The refund is then completed by the customer’s financial institution. Customers should refer to their financial institution to check on the status of the refund.

VEHICLE SAFETY

The Client agrees for his/her party will not exceed the passenger capacity of the vehicle provided. JOHNSON’S LUXURY TRANSPORTATION SERVICE reserves the right to not allow a surplus of passengers that exceed the safety limits. SUVs seat 7 passengers with limited luggage space. Vans seat 8-12 passengers with limited luggage space depending on the make and model chosen. Seating capacity may vary. Oversized or excess luggage may require a second vehicle at additional cost. Neither JOHNSON’S LUXURY TRANSPORTATION SERVICE, its drivers, nor its staff shall be liable for any personal property of the Client, which is misplaced, damaged, or left in the vehicle. JOHNSON’S LUXURY TRANSPORTATION SERVICE shall not be responsible for the safekeeping of any such item.

CLIENT SAFETY

Client assures that no passenger under 18 shall consume alcoholic beverages during the course of service. SMOKING, ILLEGAL USE OF ALCOHOL (if passengers are under the age of 18), AND/OR NARCOTICS OR CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES ARE PROHIBITED. The Client is permitted to eat, drink, or vape in the vehicle as long as the driver is not hampered by the actions of this consumption. The driver has the right to deny the use of or consumption of any of the previously mentioned items in the vehicle.

The Client is responsible for any and all damages incurred to the vehicle committed by his/her party during the service time, either willfully or accidentally. (Rips, spills, burns, scratches, or damage to the Flat Screen, DVD, stereo, or other equipment.) 

JOHNSON’S LUXURY TRANSPORTATION SERVICE has the right to terminate the trip, without refund, if he/she feels that the Client is not abiding by JOHNSON’S LUXURY TRANSPORTATION SERVICE rules or is putting the vehicle or the driver at risk.

DEPENDENT TRAVELLERS

JOHNSON’S LUXURY TRANSPORTATION SERVICE requires minors and children passengers to be accompanied by an adult for service. If making an online reservation, please indicate the number of children traveling and reserve a child seat where needed. Road Traffic laws do not allow children to ride in the lap of an adult. For more information on applicable laws, please visit the website of the Road Traffic Department of the Bahamas. Drivers reserve the right to refuse service to Clients out of compliance with the law.

CLIENTS WITH PETS

JOHNSON’S LUXURY TRANSPORTATION SERVICE is delighted to transport passengers accompanied by pets. It is recommended that the pets remain inside their travel cases/bags for the duration of the service. 

FORCE MAJEURE

Clients understand and accept that Acts of God, unforeseen traffic, and severe weather conditions delay travel. There may be unexpected vehicle breakdowns and other unforeseen events beyond the control of JOHNSON’S LUXURY TRANSPORTATION SERVICE, for which the company shall not be liable to the Client. There shall be no recourse for any of the same. In the event of a vehicle breakdown, all efforts will be made to supply a replacement vehicle. If a replacement vehicle is sent &/or the Client refuses a replacement vehicle, no refund is due. If no replacement vehicle is available, a refund shall be limited to the amount paid by the Client. In case of an emergency, JOHNSON’S LUXURY TRANSPORTATION SERVICE may subcontract his booking to another transportation service. JOHNSON’S LUXURY TRANSPORTATION SERVICE is not responsible to fulfill itineraries developed by the customer, which indicate a time that the customer expects to arrive at certain locations after the initial pick-up time.

LIMITATIONS ON COMPENSATION FOLLOWING SERVICE FAILURE 

Except in the case of willful misconduct or gross negligence of JOHNSON’S LUXURY TRANSPORTATION SERVICE, its drivers, or staff, the Client hereby waives any and all claims against JOHNSON’S LUXURY TRANSPORTATION SERVICE for injury, loss, or damage, including consequential damages, to customer’s person or property from whatever cause. In addition, the Client waives any right of subrogation with regard to the same.

Where it is determined to be the fault of JOHNSON’S LUXURY TRANSPORTATION SERVICE, Clients may receive compensation in the form of a complete refund, reservation credits, or other means. In most cases where alternative transportation is taken and paid for by the customer, reimbursement will not include a full refund of the original reservation but will reimburse the difference paid for the alternate mode of transportation over the original cost of the reservation with service. BDT does not assume any responsibility for lost income or potential income, and other losses resulting from missed professional or personal functions. When traveling to an important event, it is recommended to allow extra travel time by booking earlier than the recommended time to avoid delays. 

LIMITATIONS ON CUSTOMER CLAIM TIME 

The Client hereby acknowledges and agrees that, unless a longer period is mandated and made unwaverable by law, any claim relating to the services provided to the Client hereunder, including, without limitation, claims relating to damaged luggage, missed flight, or other out-of-pocket expenses due to any alleged service failure, must be brought within 30 days after the occurrence of the act or omission that is the subject of the claim.
